The Suzuki Violin Method was created by Dr. Shiniki Suzuki. The mothed is famously successful in offering a path for children as young as three years old to begin learning violin by ear, just like we learn our native language by ear. According to the Suzuki method, learning by ear is the primary and most imporant skill for a musician. Reading and writing music are also encouraged, but only after ear training has been codified so that students can play what they hear without wrote instructions or sheet music.Â
